Young Enterprise Scheme
YES

The Young Enterprise Scheme is a subject which is offered to Year 12 and 13 students. The aim is to create an idea, produce it and then market it to the public. Young Enterprise Trust is a charitable trust whose vision is to grow a more prosperous New Zealand through enterprise.  We see our purpose as a not for profit is to inspire, educate and transform students through enterprise experience.

Our idea this year was anti-drug wristbands with the message “Keep It Clean” on them. This message encourages and reminds people to live a healthy lifestyle and keep off drugs. We came up with this idea as it is an on-going problem in Whakatane and New Zealand. We are aiming our bands at youth/teenagers as this is where the problem persists. By having “Keep it Clean” on the bands we feel that it is a constant reminder to keep off the drugs and to keep your system clean. The silicone orange bands also feature their hi-tech looking logo B A P representing their ‘Bands A Plenty’ concept.
