The English Department at Trident strives to deliver a program that challenges students to develop a range of skills in this core subject. From Year 9 to Year 13, English at Trident provides students with the skills to participate in the 21st century. Speech, Film, Creative Writing, Poetry, Shakespeare, Response to Text, Static Image, Transactional Writing and Research are a sample of the variety of core skills taught by the Department.

From the start of Year 9, courses are designed to provide students with a solid foundation in core curriculum strands to prepare them for N.C.E.A at all levels. Students are offered a variety of courses that are designed to provide them literacy and communication skills as engaged active learners.
