We are excited to welcome Julie Ball as our new Careers Specialist here at Trident High School!

Julie's role is to help our students find their pathways, whether it be work, university, apprenticeships or other opportunities. She will be working closely with our students to help them find their passion and support them. Her ultimate goal is to be in a position to help all students, not just academically, but also by providing opportunities to gain experience.

Julie has a wealth of experience in the education sector, having worked at Mount College for 16 years before joining the Gateway Careers team at Whakatane High School. She believes that upskilling is important for everyone and that we should all be lifelong learners. She always strives for her goals and encourages students to do the same, as it is important for them to see progression and always be learning.

Julie approaches her job in a holistic way, instilling self-worth and self-confidence in our students. She believes that it is important for students to discover the opportunities available to them and to make the most of them.

In addition to her role as Careers Specialist, Julie is also teaching Year 10 Maths. Outside of school, she enjoys swimming, doing the bird walk steps and generally keeping fit. She also loves interior design and spending time with her family and friends.

We are thrilled to have Julie as part of our team and look forward to her making a positive impact on our students' lives. She also wants to remind senior students to join the Senior Facebook page for opportunities and updates.
