ACADEMIC PROGRAMME FOR EXCELLENCE - APEX
The APEX junior classes provide an academic pathway to scholarship. Students will be challenged in their thinking and learning and wil show commitment and curiosity in their approach to learning. The Year Nine programme is dedicated to enriching the learning opportunities for the students to develop breadth and depth in their core subjects in and out of the classroom. Selection for the APEX class will be determined by academic performance both by contributing school data and an entrance test to be completed in Term 4. This will assess student ability in Reading, Writing, Mathematics and Reasoning. Retaining a place in APEX will require students to maintain an excellent work ethic and perform to the best of their ability.
Students and whānau need to complete an application form for this programme.
