WORK AT TRIDENT
Trident High School is located in Whakatāne, on the coast in the sunny Bay of Plenty.
We opened our doors in 1973. Trident is a Year 9-13, co-educational, state secondary school with an ethnic make up of 55% Māori and 45% European. It draws its students from the Whakatāne urban area and surrounding rural fringe.
In 2001 the Ministry of Education directed the school to have an Enrolment Scheme which has not restricted growth.
