GLOBAL TRAVELLERS

The Trident Boys Football UK Tour runs every two years. The tour is aimed at developing Boys Football at Trident by exposing the boys to elite level performance and facilities. We play four competitive games on the trip against Schools and Club Academies.  We also watch Premier League games and visit the stadiums of Liverpool, Manchester United, Manchester City as well as training at Chelsea Football Club. The group base themselves in Yorkshire and spend time in London, Edinburgh and Liverpool where they do lots of different activities, shopping and sightseeing.

Trident's biennial Europe Tour involves Art and Spanish students touring France, Italy, Greece and Spain.  The group was ready to leave in April 2020 but due to Covid-19 the trip has been postponed.

Trident has a biennial trip to Japan involving Year 11-13 students.  Trident’s group reconnects with people in Kamagaya, Whakatane's Japan sister city, for a week and travel the country together for the second week. The experiences students have change lives and embeds a lifelong love of Japan, Japanese language and Japanese culture. The tour aims to consolidate the language learned in class in its real context use and learn every day cultural practices to embed language learning.  Students gain self-confidence and make connections and friendships with Japanese people. They also develop group social skills such as cooperation, respecting others, personal organisation and responsibility.

Trident has taken 7 tour groups on the North American Rugby Tour biannually over the last 30 years.  In 2019 the tour group arrived in Vancouver where they were hosted by Yale Secondary School in Abbotsford.  They played a game of rugby against the school, headed up Grouse Mt in cable cars, had a go at snow shoeing, visited 1st Nation Feast House, had a go at ice skating, rode the sky train and visited China Town.  After leaving Vancouver they flew to Seattle where they were hosted and played games against 2 schools: Liberty High and Kentwood High. In Seattle they visited the Boeing factory, attended the Music Experience Project, took a harbour cruise, visited the aquarium, went to Pike Place Market and Space Needle.  From Seattle the group headed to Denver, Summit Country and Los Angesles for more games and more amazing experiences including snowmobiling, Disneyland and Hollywood.
